Gold fish types
- Shubunkin goldfish: This type of gold fish has a very striking color pattern as compare to other gold fishes. Though they have lots of color pattern but the base color is mostly blue, violet and pearl with orange, gold, red, white, black, grey and brown patches on it. They usually live up to 10 years and grow to 30 cm. The most common habit of this fish is that they eat bottom feed. It helps in keeping the tank clean.
- Bubble eye goldfish: It is the most unusual type of goldfish and has big eyes which look like bubbles which are filled with water that are hung on both side of a head. This type of goldfish should be sustained separately. If you put them with other fishes, than make sure that the other fishes are calm enough.
- Comet goldfish: It is the simplest and the most modest type of goldfish. The comet goldfish can be red, white, orange and yellow in color. Some fishes that have contrasting body and fins colors are expensive. It has a long tail with a small body.
- Fantail goldfish: It has a short round body and flowing fins that makes it look beautiful. Since it is easy to handle therefore it is a good choice for beginners. Moreover it is also easy to breed. These fishes can live up to be 20 years old. It can be orange, black on orange, and white and orange in color.
- Black moor goldfish: It is the most beautiful type of goldfish. It has short, round stomachs, a split tail fin, and 2 big round eyes from the side of its head. These fishes can live up to be 17 years old. It is of solid black in color. The plus point of this type of fish is that it is easy to keep and it is a good choice for beginners who want to go with a fancy goldfish.
- Oranda goldfish: These types of goldfishes are quite liked by people because of their attractive looks. It can live up to be 16 years old and can be black, midnight blue, calico, blue, lemon, and red in color.
